An old monastery brought back to new life with a sense of style, romantic interpretation, and a truly “green thumb” on the part of its residents. The old materials, such as terracotta tiles, wooden beams, and granite stones, have been preserved and complemented with antique wooden furniture to create a harmonious overall picture. Seven historic fireplaces are distributed throughout the residential complex of two houses, one of which serves purely as a guest house. This extraordinary retreat is located in the heart of the old town center, directly on the water, and has its own beach and boat harbor. The dreamlike patio behind high walls and the skillful color scheme of the buildings create a Tuscan impression.
Idyllic seating areas in the shade of Mediterranean plants, a deck chair right by the water, or a cozy seat on the terrace by the lake—there are many peaceful retreats here for perfect relaxation and unwinding. Water sports activities can be enjoyed on your own beach or at your own boat harbor. The southern charm that this house exudes creates a vacation feeling from the very first moment. The location and floor plan of the houses give you the feeling of owning a small village by the water.
The layout of the house is very well divided into a living area on the ground floor and a sleeping area on the upper floor. The living area has a large living and dining room with a magnificent lake view and fireplace, as well as a kitchen with an adjoining laundry room facing the courtyard. Access to the lake-side part of the house is possible directly from the living room or the courtyard. The connection to the neighboring house, which serves as a guest apartment on the upper floors, offers a wonderfully vaulted, covered seating area with a direct lake view on the ground floor. In front of the living room windows, there is another dining area by the lake with breathtaking views.
The upper floor is divided into several bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, as well as a studio, an office, a movie and games room, and a laundry room. All rooms have a wonderful lake view and are characterized by different ceiling heights. The master bedroom and the movie room are equipped with historic fireplaces, and the beautiful antique wooden ceiling has been preserved in the movie room.
In the neighboring house, a separate guest apartment with kitchen and bathroom has been set up on two floors, which has a full lake view and can therefore also be used as a vacation apartment.
