…and a wonderfully cozy atmosphere. The layout with an atrium terrace creates a unit that cannot be seen. The indoor pool is attached to the side and can be wonderfully connected to the garden in front by means of large sliding doors. Inside, the cozy touch is accentuated by a beautiful granite fireplace and a valuable, newly restored coffered wooden ceiling and cotto flooring. The house is centrally located to all important points of Ascona, which can be easily reached on foot, but is nevertheless quiet. With its compact layout, it offers a family plenty of space as a vacation residence and above all a lot of privacy.
The living and dining area has an open-plan design and the beautiful, large granite fireplace creates a living ambience as a connecting element. The elegant coffered wooden ceiling in combination with the cotto flooring and the plastered walls give the room an almost chalet-like character. The view from the window into the garden and the beautiful palm trees is a reminder that this is a cozy Ticino vacation home. From the living room, a double door leads out onto the spacious, secluded atrium terrace with an outdoor fireplace and beautiful Ticino granite flooring. From here you can also access the indoor pool or the garden.
The wooden kitchen, in keeping with the country house style of the house, is directly adjacent to the living and dining area and it would be possible to open it up to the living area if desired. From the entrance area, the side hallway leads to the bedrooms and the bathroom, and this is also where the staircase to the basement is located. To the side of the atrium terrace is the entrance to the wonderfully large indoor pool, which becomes an outdoor pool with garden in summer, when the sliding doors are open.
The two bedrooms each have large double doors leading to the atrium terrace and are bright and spacious. The flooring here is a light-colored parquet, which makes it very easy to create your own design and color scheme for the rooms. The daylight bathroom is located right next to the bedrooms and has a bathtub. There is a further bathroom with a shower in the entrance area of the house. The basement houses another large guest room, an additional shower room and a number of ancillary rooms. From here there is also an exit via a staircase to the front garden of the house.
