… the landscape appears from the perspective of this apartment in the exclusive small residence high above Brissago. The continuous terrace runs along the facade on three sides, so that all living spaces have direct access to the natural spectacle. Through the refined disposition of the rooms, the vastness continues into the interior where, thanks to the panoramic window front, particularly pleasant light conditions prevail. The essential finishing is restrained in colour and defines an outstanding framework with the high-quality materials in the best workmanship.
The architectural concept is inspired in a unique way by the surroundings. The soul of Ticino is its light, and capturing it is an art of its own. With the original floor plan and the coordination of functions and forms, it has been possible to integrate the advantages of the location and the southern light into the flat “without loss”.
Of course, the interior fittings and furnishings meet all the requirements of contemporary living. The design, on the other hand, removes from view everything that does not necessarily have to be there. Beyond the reduction of visible elements, this can be seen in the moderate palette of materials, shapes and colours applied, but also includes structural building parts and the building services, too. The dignified atmosphere is essentially owed to the circumstance that all indispensable components are involved in the aesthetics in a style-forming way.
