Villa Chiara | TI
An unparalleled architectural gem – Villa Chiara was designed by German artist and architect Carl Weidemeyer, who between 1927 and 1936 built a total of nine buildings in Ascona and Ronco. Of these, only the Teatro San Materno and two residential buildings remain.
Built on an artificial terrace created by levelling a rocky spur, Villa Chiara towers almost vertically above the lake in the purest Bauhaus style and offers a breathtaking panoramic view. The charming property is in its original condition: the iron windows, the parquet and terracotta floors, the built-in furniture and its unique exterior design.
