An architect’s house in a class of its own
For the Pavillon House, renowned architect Andreas Ramseier focused on breaking away from rigid, cubic design and creating a cozy, positive atmosphere. This nature-oriented country house blends seamlessly with the local topography—both inside and out—at an elevation of 615 meters above sea level. Inspired by California architecture and the Rocky Mountains, such an internationally inspired property is very rare in Switzerland. With its overhanging roofs, it also draws inspiration from traditional Japanese architecture and the classic wooden houses of the Bernese Oberland. A light pyramid above the fireplace and large windows provide plenty of light and a unique view all the way to the Säntis.
