An architectural jewel without equal – Villa Chiara was designed by the German artist and architect Carl Weidemeyer, who completed a total of nine buildings in Ascona and Ronco between 1927 and 1936. Of these, only the Teatro San Materno and two residential buildings have survived.
Built on an artificial terrace created by leveling a rocky outcrop, Villa Chiara is enthroned almost vertically above the lake in the purest Bauhaus style and offers a breathtaking panoramic view. The fascinating property is in completely original condition: from the iron windows to the parquet and terracotta floors to the built-in furniture and exterior design
