The customers were longing for a new kitchen. The new kitchen needed to have more storage space and be more open than the existing kitchen, but still not look like a foreign body. The entire project had to be completed during the vacation period. So that the 5-person family business could continue seamlessly after the vacations.
Out of four variants, the “simple” variant was chosen. In order to create more space in the same area, a load-bearing 20 cm thick wall was removed, which compensated for the static compensation by means of adhesive bonding of the ceiling. In addition, the portrait-format window was changed to a narrow horizontal window, allowing more work surface depth and full daylight to be generated on the work surface. To round off the concept harmoniously, the parquet flooring was also replaced with country house floorboards from Schotten & Hansen
